The City is a big supporter of access and inclusion especially when it comes to being active. Due to this – to promote access inclusion and general wellbeing for all the Aquarena has a range of equipment that is ready for public use that assists with accessibility for those who need it. Just ask our staff and we will be able to assist with retrieving equipment. We have the following available: portable pro pool lift pelican pool/spa hoist aqua wheel chairs shower commode hoist – personal lifter slings and buoyancy belts.
Every Thursday in Term 2 from 2:30-3:30pm the Aquarena will trial a ‘quiet hour’ at the facility.
The program will be assessed at the end of Term 2 to determine if it should continue or be amended. It will not run through the school holidays.
We also run an Aquarobics class called Splash – Inclusive Aqua each Tuesday from 10:30am -11:00am
Completing a registration form is required to participate in the class. This will ensure we are aware of any assistance you may require.
