Founded in 1960 by a group of friends with a shared love of singing and musical theatre the Bunbury Musical Comedy Group (BMCG) has been entertaining the South West community for over six decades. Since our very first production The Desert Song—which earned a princely profit of just one pound ($2)—we’ve staged more than 100 shows celebrating creativity talent and community spirit.
Our home is the New Lyric Theatre located at 7 Bourke Street Bunbury WA. This charming 230-seat venue features full theatre facilities including dressing rooms a green room a licensed bar and an extensive costume wardrobe built over 46 years of productions.
BMCG exists to promote and foster dramatic arts music musical theatre and musical comedy in all its forms. We’re a welcoming volunteer-run group that thrives on community involvement and creative collaboration.
