Register for iVote

The WA Electoral Commission is introducing the iVote system for the March 11 election. The iVote system is a form of voting where eligible voters can vote using the internet or telephone as an alternative to voting at a polling place.

An eligible elector is anyone unable to vote without assistance and/or anyone who may  have difficulty casting a vote at a polling place.  An eligible elector will be asked to make a self-declaration, confirming their eligibility.

The iVote system has 3 steps:

1. Register– www.elections.wa.gov.au/ivote or calling the Help Desk at 1300 64 86 83. Register from Monday 13 February through to Friday 10 March.

2. Vote – www.elections.wa.gov.au/ivote or using a telephone keypad (IVR) at 1300 64 86 83. Vote from Monday 20 February through to 6pm Saturday 11 March.

3. Verify (optional) – during the election period Monday 20 February – Saturday 11 March by calling 1300 64 86 83 to confirm your vote is recorded as you cast it. Following the election  from Monday 13 March – Wednesday 15 March, visit www.elections.wa.gov.au/ivote to confirm your vote has been included in the count.

The Commission has produced large print and accessible format brochures, together with a WA Auslan video and a graphical brochure. In addition, an interactive demonstration system for practice voting (internet and telephone IVR) is also available for trial at www.elections.wa.gov.au/ivote.
